Greetings
Royal Priests are everywhere. Any believer of Jesus the Christ our Lord and Savior is called to priesthood. Any heart that is restless and breaks free in small bursts of grace, any soul that persists under pressure, any mind that ponders the vastness of the glory of God is a Royal Priest.
Not to take too much of the spotlight, but this blog is my part in the story, indeed The Greatest Story Ever Written - the story of God and mankind. Though the holy fire has been doused somewhat with my reunion with the world, the embers are here - with the hope that you, dear reader, might have enough to light your way. Remember, Our Lord is always with us...even in everyday moments. Nothing is so "real" that it loses its spiritual side. If you need anything, know that His Door is always open and His Light is always on. May God bless you always, my friend.
Answer the call, and begin the adventure of your life.
The Prodigal Son and The Angels
Every year has always been riskier, the last point of desperation hidden more and more in the darkness - and I grow more and more unwilling to return to the light.
I go through this cycle because "it is in seeing the dark that we know the light," as the Jedi of "Star Wars" assure... and from my own experience, God talks clearest to people who have Jesus AND NOTHING ELSE.
Every year the journey back is always painful because I don't want the communion with God to end, and also because I sacrificed too much to find my way back. Like the prodigal son, I feel only the memory of happiness, engulfed in shame. Truly it was God who sent the angels to guide me.
In my life so far, God has been sending my closest friends and my dad to retrieve me from the dark but I never truly recovered... until I met my ArchAngel.
I write this now so that I can remember her always, and with the hope that I can thank her and tell her someday:
"I once believed in God... I stopped believing... but after meeting you, my soul is restored and I haven't stopped believing."
I also write this because I know she won't be back. And, unfortunately, it's that time of the year again...
